Privacy
How we handle your information.
A plain explanation, not a wall of legal text.
Who we are
Terranova Italian Yachts di Zilioli Massimigliano, trading as Tecnomarine, is the data controller for the information described on this page. VAT IT03756550160, tax code ZLLMSM71P05E704I, registered and operating office at Via Darsena, 3 — 56121 Pisa (PI), Italy. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as our size and the way we process data do not require one under GDPR.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide — name, email address, phone number, country, company, the yacht model you're enquiring about, your message — along with a record of the consent you gave and when. We also keep an anonymous, non-identifying count of page views; see the cookie policy for what that involves.
Why we process it, and on what basis
We process enquiry data to respond to you — the legal basis is the pre-contractual step you requested by submitting the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). If you separately tick the marketing box, we send occasional news on that basis alone (Art. 6(1)(a), consent), which you can withdraw at any time without affecting the enquiry itself.
Marketing communications
The marketing checkbox on the contact form is optional and unticked by default. We only send you news if you explicitly opt in, and every such message includes a way to unsubscribe. Leaving it unticked has no effect on how we handle your enquiry.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is handled directly by Tecnomarine staff. It is also processed, strictly as data processors under GDPR Art. 28, by the cloud providers that host this site, its database and its media storage, under standard data processing agreements — this may involve transferring data outside the EU/EEA under the safeguards the law requires. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle it, and afterwards only for as long as the law requires or a genuine business reason exists, such as an ongoing conversation about a build. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time — see your rights below.
Your rights
Under GDPR Articles 15–22 you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export the data we hold about you, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time — all free of charge, by writing to us using the contact details below. You can also lodge a complaint with the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (garanteprivacy.it) if you believe we have mishandled your data.
